First, we'll meet you in our paddling shop inside the historic 1906 Steamboat Ticket Office, where once passengers boarded steamboats bound for Baltimore. Next, we'll launch from the floating dock behind our shop for on-water instruction and a tour of Onancock's historic homes from the water. This sailing experience funds our non-profit outreach programs. We leave from Tindeco Wharf and sail into the east harbor. From there, depending on the wind we sail toward the inner harbor or out past Fort McHenry into the Patapsco river with a views of the Key bridge and marine terminal. Do as much, or as little as you like. Ask to help hoist the main sail or trim the jib or just sit back and enjoy the ride. Bring your own snacks and beverages to enjoy and just take in the breeze and enjoy the sights and sounds of sailing. This is not a lesson. Book an Introduction to Sailing experience to get started sailing. Or book a private lesson. Other things to note: We're sailing on the 36' sailboat so it's unlikely you'll get wet (unless it is raining) and life jackets are not required. We will sail in light rain, but not in thunderstorms.
