Lovely few days at Gail's. Everything was good and very clean. It's a great base for exploring the Northumberland coast. We had a fab visit to Warkworth Castle which was an easy walk from the house. Morrisons is only a 5 minute walk away and plenty of bars and eateries on the doorstep.

This was an amazing place for us to stay as an extended family. There were nine of us, plus two dogs, and we rented the Doocot and the Lodge in the grounds. It is located right up in the hills and was blissfully remote yet easily accessible to the A90 to Perth and Dundee. The house itself was very comfortable and exactly as described. The sitting room was amazing with its enormously high ceilings, plenty of squishy sofas and a piano. There was also a Smart TV. For us, the best feature was the enormous dining table which easily seated us all and could have taken several other people too. We had lovely meals together all round the table. It was really memorable. The bathrooms were clean and new. The roll top bath was lovely and super to soak in. Check in, host communications etc were all super easy and they even helped us to have a hot tub ready for our arrival from Fife Hot Tub Hire. All in all, would highly recommend to people looking for a comfortable break away in the hills.

In the center of things, but still was quiet and peaceful. It is a beautiful, well appointed place with incredible views of the castle and water. Comfortable beds. Wonderful shower. Great kitchen. We hope to stay again. It was perfect.

My sister and I had a fabulous few days at Pondicherry house. The weather was very kind to us which meant we could eat outside and watch the (many) birds and admire the view across the Coquet valley. We did some local walks and went to Warkworth castle, which gave some shade on a very hot day. Later on a storm came up; we were lucky to be off the beach by then and sheltered in the fantastic station bookshop in Alnwick. What a trip!

What a lovely gem of a house, we had a great comfortable stay. Great location, close to the beach, bars and restaurants.

A stunning, isolated location in the Northumberland National Park with superb all-round views and the market town of Bellingham just a short drive away. We so enjoyed staying here. The cottage is stylishly and comfortably furnished with many personal touches - pictures, ornaments and books - and very well equipped throughout. It is well laid out with boot room, shower room and a well designed kitchen area which leads on to open-plan dining and lounge area - spacious and hospitable. The two bedrooms are again very well furnished with plenty of storage and very comfortable beds. In keeping with the rest of the cottage there is a lovely bathroom nearby. The cottage has good off-road parking, a lovely all-round garden and outdoor furniture. The front of the cottage catches the morning sun with splendid views into the distance. We have been before and shall return again.

Beautifully peaceful rural location, with wonderful views all around. We stayed in the Forge which was a home from home - everything you need is available and the host Mary was so lovely, bringing synthetic pillows as I’m allergic to duck down and a lighter tog quilt. Location is great, not far from Alnwick, Morpeth, Alnmouth, Amble and of course Rothbury - equally handy for Seahouses, Bamburgh and inland to Hexham and Bellingham. Local Spar has everything you may need. The butchers recommended in Rothbury has lovely food and Bewicks was a great little restaurant to eat at. If you use the fish and chip shop I’d recommend calling first or be prepared to have a drink at the pub whilst you wait if you like fish. My only constructive feedback would be to put memory foam toppers on the beds, as the twins made into Kingsize have a definite dip in the centre and all mattresses were a bit on the hard side for us, though that is personal preference of course. Delightful stay all in.

I’ve never stayed in a place like this before, and may never get a chance again! Between the history of the building and the fact that it was just off the main thoroughfare, we couldn’t have found a better home base for our first time in Edinburgh. We would absolutely recommend to any and all who plan on visiting the city! We would very happily stay again.

Très bel appartement, extrêmement bien situé avec une magnifique vue sur le château (à voir au coucher du soleil). L’accueil des propriétaires étaient au delà de nos espérances, ils nous ont même laissés des petites attentions venant d’une boulangerie locale! C’est ce qui les distinguent selon moi des autres. Tous était confortable pour un couple/petite famille. J’y retournerais à 100%

Gareth is an excellent host and the flat is so cozy! The flat is clean and has great amenities. Gareth was always easy to get a hold of. The street the flat is located on has many options for food and cocktails. I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh.

Modern and spacious living space right in the center of beautiful Crail. Easy walk down to the harbor, local restaurants, and other nearby attractions. Great access to parking and super quiet.

Great location for walking Edinburgh and a fantastic view from the balcony over the river. Ross is quick and friendly in all communications! We definitely enjoyed our stay.

In aller Kürze: zentral, historisch, super Gastgeberin- perfekt für einen Aufenthalt in Edinburgh und uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen. Pubs/leckere Restaurants, die Royal Mile direkt vor der Haustüre , alle bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen - geht kaum besser!

Busra was helpful from the start. Communicated well and addressed locking mechanism issues right away. We loved the New Town location to enjoy The Cauldron, Fortuna Coffee and the wonderful restaurants nearby all while enjoying the quiet of the location a bit away from the crowds.

It was a wonderful place to stay with great scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere . The hosts Alexandra and David were such great people which made the stay even more pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

Nick was unbelievably chilled and accommodating for our whole group. He gave great recommendations for local walks and supermarkets. He even lent us an audio cable we'd forgotten - couldn't have asked for a better host, genuinely. And the house... well, it's every bit as beautiful as it looked in the pictures. We all had one of the best weekends ever - thank you so much Nick!

I can’t say enough about this place and how lovely Ian and Flo were in being such great hosts. Not only was the house fantastic but they were so kind and helpful… It was like staying with good friends.!

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

We LOVED staying here! It’s a beautiful home (even bigger than it looks in the pictures) next to a great local pub and surrounded by gorgeous countryside. Adrian was super helpful, consistently going above and beyond to ensure we had a fab stay. 10/10!

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was perfect for our large group of 14—spacious, well-equipped, and with excellent facilities throughout. The garden area was a lovely bonus, great for relaxing together. We really appreciated how easy it was to walk or jog into town, but taxis were also quick and convenient when needed. Highly recommend this place for any large group looking for a comfortable and well-located stay!
