DSTV, WiFi, tea, coffee & kitchen essentials (spices & olive oil) are provided. Bring your own rod for catch & release trout fishing (daily rod fees apply).

(3.5 km dirt/ gravel road) The house is done in a true farmhouse, rustic style with a lovely interior and lots of atmosphere. Well suited for a big family or 2 or 3 couples. Lovely 360' views with a view on a dam and wild life like zebras, impalas and waterbucks grazing in the estate. A true beauty for nature lovers.

Chestnut Cottage (4x4 Required)

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This is an open plan unit that can comfortably sleep 2 people. A vehicle with a high clearance or 4x4 is required. There is a patio outside shower for two, however you can still shower inside of the house as well. The cottage has a full kitchen (no oven available) with an outside braai area. There is a covered parking area. Three bags of firewood is supplied when checking in.

Claymore Country Cottage

A quaint cottage stay on a working-farm. The cottage sleeps 8 people. Feel free to walk around the farm lands, wonder down to the dam, catch some fish and just enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The property is a stand alone house, with good fencing so your pets can join you for your stay. There is undercover parking for 2 cars, but there is space for more cars to park inside the fence.

Sitting in the shade of a 150 year old Elm tree with a view of Platberg Mountain and sleeping in one of Harrismith’s historical landmarks is a treat.
