Mill Cottage Bunkhouse is situated in Nenthead, one of the highest villages in England, standing at 1,500ft above sea level. It is nestled within the stunning Northern Pennines (AONB) UNESCO Global Geopark and sits next to the historic Nenthead Mines site, which was once a major centre for lead and silver mining. Mill Cottage Bunkhouse is on the C2C cycle route, it is also next to Isaac’s Tea Trail and only a drive away from the Lake District, making it an ideal base for cyclists and walkers.

Eastbanks Bothy by Hadrian’s Wall - Pets Welcome

Tucked away on the “barbarian” side of Hadrian’s Wall on a Northumbrian hill farm, this stone cottage is a unique, self-catering hideaway for up to four people offering spectacular views, privacy and utter seclusion. Cosy and romantic, accessed via its own private gravel road across the fields, the Bothy is within easy walking of the dramatic central section of Hadrian’s Wall. The isolated rural nature of the Bothy is perfectly suited for couples, families and very remote remotely working!

Our new handcrafted shepherds hut has en-suite facilities and underfloor heating. It has an enclosed patio with seats and a chiminea. We are situated in a very quiet part of Northumberland with excellent walking and cycling from site. The Pennine way is a field away, we have disused railway lines with viaduct and riverside walks. In the heart of the North of England you will find our accommodation set within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The rooms we offer have been designed with the explorer in mind, to use a base to explore the local surrounding area, the Lake District, Northumberland and Durham. We have had guests walking the Isaacs Tea Trail as well as cyclists doing the C2C. After a long day exploring the local area return to refresh yourself in our spacious bathroom complete with underfloor heating.
