The Roosevelt

I built this cabin in 1989, this property has a lot of history, it was part of the land that my father in law acquired from the Roosevelt program, I believe that was in 1932, he was one of the few original settlers. we have 25 acres we are in process of making walking trail that will wind back and forth through the entire property. will be a good chance of seeing all kind of wildlife including deer turkey, squirrels and all kind of birds. A short 5 minutes walk if you choose to just walk there. Home has everything you need, including your own boat slip, while away on your Lake Martin getaway. If off season and a football fan, Auburn is just a short 20 mile drive away. Lake Martin is also known for great fishing and many hiking areas you can enjoy.

Hike the woods or around the lake or just sit on the porch. Fishing is catch and release only. No fish cleaning on site.

This little cabin was a labor of love for our family. It’s a mix of new remodel and old cabin authenticity. It’s a coat of many colors and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. My brother and I decided to take on a project together and with the help of our beloved spouses we took this little diamond in the rough to its current prime. We have plans to continue the vision and make more space, but for now, we’re ready to share our accomplishment with you.

Welcome to “The Gambrel House” a vintage 1970’s California architecture inspired retreat. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway from the city to enjoy some quiet time or a small campfire, this is the place! There is plenty of room for 1 or 2 families but still has a cozy vibe. Enjoy the large deck with a view of a lake or the side yard with fire pit. Close to FDR state park, the Flint River and Warm Springs Georgia.

Forest Retreat near Providence Canyon & Plains

Located near Parrott, GA, 43 mi south of Fort Moore 3mi off GA-520. Cozy, freshly updated mobile home on 4 acres of private property has flat grassy lawn. Conveniently located to the Jimmy Carter sites in Plains (8mi) and Americus (18mi), antiquing, birding, hunting, ATV trail riding, biking and many nearby sites of interest including Providence Canyon (30 mi), Andersonville (35 mi), and Radium Springs (43 miles).

Fishing available from shore and the property includes a small boat launch, fire pit, porch swing, rocking chairs, grill, and picnic tables. The Dirt Road River Cabin is a wonderful secluded cabin on the Coosa River, great for couple/friends getaways. The cabin offers outdoor fireplace, outdoor kitchen, and a tin roof which is great on those rainy days. It's a slice of paradise just 10-15 mins away from Wetumpka. This is a truly unique and tranquil getaway.
