It has been tastefully renovated, but many of it’s original features remain. Situated on the high street just a few strides away from the beach and the Cod & Lobster pub, where you can enjoy a homemade meal and friendly atmosphere. This cosy cottage has a homely feel, perfect for relaxing in front of the fire after exploring the Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors.

Atcot Cottage has been our own special sanctuary for years but is now available for holidays and short breaks. A Grade II Listed, 18th Century smugglers cottage retaining lots of original features, it has been lovingly restored to provide luxury accommodation for 4 people. Compact and cosy, tucked away down a little alleyway, it is a perfect holiday location for getting away from it all. Only 200 yards to the harbour and beach and well placed for exploring the lovely North Yorkshire Coast.

Sleeps 2 The cottage used to be the communal bakery where the womenfolk would bring their dough to be baked You will find yourself immersed in the history of this quaint old village once home to Captain James Cook, artist Dame Laura Knight, and countless smugglers.

No4 is ideally situated in the pretty village of Great Ayton. Ideally placed to explore the fabulous North York moors and nearby coast. Wonderful villages and market towns are close by with Historic York and Whitby both less than hours drive away. For those wanting to explore on foot or by bike the Cleveland Way is nearby as well as a host of local walks and trails. Ayton offers good local amenities with several pubs and cafes.
