Eight Mile Room

The Historic Northern Hotel is the oldest hostelry in northern Idaho. Located on Priest Lake in Coolin, Idaho, the two-story log hotel was built in 1900 by Walt Williams, an employee of the Great Northern Railroad. One of a number of lodges created to attract more passengers to the rail line, the Historic Northern Hotel is the only one that remains from the early days of Idaho statehood when mining, timber, and tourism businesses were beginning to develop around Priest Lake.

Mullan Trail offers two cabin rentals with a comfortable and clean accommodation for you to enjoy the Great North Idaho/Silver Valley Outdoor Adventures. Our beautiful, fully furnished cabins are located one mile from fishing, swimming and a boat access at the confluence of the Middle Fork & the North Fork Rivers. The secluded forested feel of the property is nicely complemented by the convenient location to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. From your cabin door, you are a 10 minute drive to the entrance of Glacier Park in West Glacier and the gateway town of Columbia Falls.

Bear Room @ Winchester Lake Lodge

Comfortable plush queen and twin bunk beds. The Bear Room, one of three rooms in the main building. Directly across from the 3.5-mile trail around Winchester Lake. Across the street from The Gateway convenience store. Short walk to child friendly, Winchester Kitchen and Bar, good food and beverage, also to Winchester Lake State Park where you can rent canoes, paddle boards, fish, hike, bird watch, until your heart's content.
