We designed the Rock Room with 6 floor to ceiling windows and an automatic garage door that opens up to a rock wall and your private covered balcony which overlooks national forest on both sides. For those seeking solitude………you know who you are…. Toast marshmallows and watch the stars in our high altitude, low light pollution mountain paradise gem. Privately nestled in a tall pine and aspen forest. At 9,300 ft, the summers are cool, the wildflowers are plentiful and the stars are bright. Very private, very quiet. Sip your coffee on the deck and maybe the local moose, elk or deer will pay you a visit. Wildlife you won’t miss- mosquitoes. Enjoy your stay in our mosquito-less mountain.

Tucked Away Stay - Close To Town and In Nature

Come enjoy our private 5 acres of Pinon trees with the convenience of being 5 minutes from town. Enjoy the joys of children on property and views of incredible mountains with the wildlife that frequents our "back yard". Relax in our private guest area locked off from the rest of our home including a kitchenette and laundry area, all separated from the rest of the house by a custom built and locking doorway. We accept dogs but cannot accept cats due to other guests’ allergies. There is a pet fee.

The River Sweet

My river property is located right on the edge of the Arkansas river in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The property is comfortably accessed by the highway with ample parking for 8 automobiles. At the same time there is 1200’of private river access with a large comfortable access via boating and wading. Our property is really all about the river. In the spring, summer and fall the river can really be moving. This provides an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sounds, birds and pastoral scene.

Private River Retreat

The River Retreat, right off of Hwy 50, is a short 10 minute drive from historical downtown Salida. This beautiful home sits just above the Arkansas River with stairs leading to the private riverfront property. Gold medal fishing, rafting, kayaking and swimming from the back door. Here you can get away from the business of life and recharge in nature, yet are so close to town. Hikes nearby and a great deck to just sit and let stress melt away as you listen to the sound of the river flow by.

Built in 1887, the Savoy building is home to this beautifully renovated and appointed Loft. The open floor plan is graced with historic brick walls and original 8' tall windows looking out onto First St. French doors open to a private bedroom, the kitchen is adorned with wood cabinets, marble countertops and stainless steel appliances, and the dining and living spaces are fashionably furnished in a classic urban loft style. A rooftop patio completes the scene for this stylish downtown loft.

Retreat at Roundhill - Beautiful Mountain Getaway!

Get away from it all at our cottage - Retreat at Round Hill. You will have access to miles of hiking, biking & ATV trails. We own 36 acres, including Round Hill, with amazing mountain views all around. We are backed up to National Forest and BLM land. We're located two miles south of Poncha Pass Summit. Only 15-20 minutes to downtown Salida and 30 minutes to Monarch Mountain Ski Area. We have a fire pit and propane grill outside the entryway. We offer discounts for weekly/longer stays.

Riverbend Retreat Guest Suite

This secluded riverside location is just the place for a quiet and comfortable getaway, 3 miles from downtown Salida. Our rural setting is beautiful in every season, offering views of the mountain valley as well as direct access to fishing easements on the Arkansas River. The private suite is an addition to our home with its own exterior entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, and small dining area. This space is most comfortably used by 2 adults with children, or 3 adults sharing the suite.

No plumbing but guests have access to our renovated bathhouse & light cooking facilities in "The Hub", just a short walk away. Not to mention The Yurt's fire pit & charcoal grill for a camp cooking experience! Climate controlled with 3 infrared heaters & A/C mini-split.. No pets are allowed due to the yurts canvas construction.
