Perfect for walking and riding, the Heysen and Kidman trails are accessible through our back gate. Famous McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wineries are nearby. While the guest suite is attached to the main house, it is quite separate and totally private. A 50 minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD and a 25 minute drive from southern beaches, it is perfect for a weekend escape.

The original homestead circa 1860 began its life as the towns doctors' residence. Fast forward to present day and you will find a charming old cottage with a modern extension that has been thoughtfully designed, surrounded by a peaceful garden setting. Conveniently located in the heart of McLaren Vale, we are only steps away from all that the region has to offer. Make yourself at home! Take a swim in the pool, cook a BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine under our 170 year old pepper tree.

Lost in the Vines. Vineyard Escape.

Space & peace to self isolate in beautiful surroundings with lots of trees & fabulous views. Sit by the wood combustion fire & warm your soul or lie in until lunchtime in soft linen sheets, listening to birdsong. Lost in the Vines is a very private space in the McLaren Vale wine district, surrounded by vines & views, with lots of great walks, wineries & restaurants nearby. The house is all yours but I am generally around if you have any queries. Walk, ride, read or just kick back.

Quiet Adelaide Foothills Area

2 night minimum. Queen size bed and living room in private wing of our home. Separate entrance. Continental breakfast included, own bathroom. Kitchen space has a toaster oven and microwave but not full kitchen. Quiet location, , 20 minute walk through leafy streets to railway station. 20 min drive to Adelaide city. Sofa bed in living room can accommodate another guest or two for $15 per person per night. No smoking anywhere on our property please.
