A truly unique experience. Brand new, fully fledged studio apartment with ensuite bathroom, aboard a former freight ship turned into a houseboat. Breakfast, king-size bed (180x200), 40 inch TV with Chromecast, water cooker, hair dryer, .., everything is included. The KNSM Island is one of the hidden gems of Amsterdam, quiet and peaceful, but close to the city center. It is possible to sit outside on a private terrace and jump in the water for a swim. The sunsets are pretty spectacular as well.

Het appartement is rustig gelegen op een mooie plek in Amsterdam-Noord, omgeven door groen en aan het water. Binnen 10 minuten ben je in het centrum. Het is dé plek om te genieten van alles dat Amsterdam te bieden heeft en om binnen een paar minuten op de (gratis) fietsen de mooie natuur van Waterland te verkennen.

De lichte studio heeft een eigen ingang en is gelegen aan een kleine “Japanse” binnentuin. Als je de schuifdeur openzet zit je in de tuin. In de sfeervolle rustige kamer staat een queensize bed. Ook de badkamer en suite is gelegen aan de binnentuin.

Cosy calm apartment

Welcome in my house, a cosy calm apartment in the north of Amsterdam, the perfect location. It is quiet and green, yet only a 15 minutes bike ride to the center, or 2 metro stops. If you walk 2 minutes from my house you can swim (!!) or walk in the beautiful green polder. (I can even lent you my kayak!). Still the center is not far, so after a busy day of Amsterdam you will sleep in peaceful quietness. You can park your car for free, which is unicum in Amsterdam.
