Take in the wildlife that frequently passes through the peaceful wooded hillside on the large covered screened porch. Once you arrive you will agree the drive was well worth the visit!

Covered balcony and concrete beneath the entire property for lounging or activities. 30 mins from Lansing, Prairie Du Chien, Marquette, and Waukon. Also including the parks Pikes Peak, Spook Cave, and Yellow River Forest. Awesome for boating, fishing, and duck/goose hunting.

Stay next to beautiful Paint Creek in the heart of Iowa's Driftless Region. Guests can choose from a queen bed or double futon upstairs in the main living area. We also have a queen air mattress available. Enjoy the scenic view of one of Iowa's best trout streams from the house or adjacent green space. Take a 5 minute drive to Yellow River State Forest, and enjoy close access to other public hunting and fishing areas, Effigy Mounds, Pike's Peak, and the Mississippi River.

It is steps away from one of Iowa’s natural trout streams Patterson Creek, the recreational playground of the Upper Iowa River, and over 1,000 acres of wild prairie and woodlands managed by the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation. There could also be mud, dust or snow because the Midwest weather is always changing. It is cozy and comfortable in this farmhouse nestled in an oak grove. If you love the outdoors and Iowa, this place is for you! Pets are welcome, maximum of two with pet fee paid at booking.
